Victorian Grand Tour Souvenir ROMA Bracelet

$1,195.00

A silver and micro mosaic hinged cuff bracelet. A Victorian traveler’s Italian souvenir from a “Grand Tour”. The tiny tesserae that form the micro mosaic are expertly laid to depict sights in Rome; the Coliseum, the Pantheon, and St. Peter’s Basilica. The other side spells out ROMA. Made of 800 silver, commonly used in Italian antiques of the period. The bracelet opens and closes with a seamless push in clasp. The tesserae are in very good condition with only the tiniest loss, nearly undetectable. Overall excellent condition, and such a romantic piece of history, for a fraction of the cost of a gold one.

Fits a 7-7 3/4 inch  wrist depending on how you like your bracelets to sit. It has an ovoid shape so that on the right sized wrist it fits comfortably. I wear it on my 6 inch wrist pushed up the arm and it works perfectly well that way too.

weighs 21 grams, face measures about 1/2 inch wide, and 3/4 inch where the scrolled hinges are.
