Victorian 15k Horseshoe Locket
Another exceptional find from my European travels; a solid gold horseshoe locket suspended from a highly detailed buckled strap and surrounded by a movable stirrup. The interior of the locket has two hand painted portraits. This is such a special piece, heavy gauge, finely detailed and one of a kind.
weighs over 13 grams, tests as at least 15k
the locket itself measures 1” by 3/4” and the piece including the stirrup measures 1 3/4” by 1 1/8” - not including the large bail.
