Georgian Ruby Band
Rare 5 stone band from the late Georgian period, featuring 4 cushion cut and one round ruby, all believed to be Burma origin and unheated, set in gold with a closed back. The rubies are foiled and as such, there is some variation to the colors of the stones. The center ruby, which is round, is a slightly lighter color and shape and I do believe it is a replacement. If so, it was done in antiquity and is not a recent replacement. It appears to have been replaced in the Victorian era. All rubies have been checked for security in their settings.
