Georgian Garnet Chandelier Earrings
Georgian era gold and foiled flat cut garnet earrings with evidence of a 1959 restoration, as they were hallmarked at that time. The ear wires are most definitely a replacement. The foiled garnets appear to be original. I imagine they had been passed down through the ages and someone finally had to have them redone in order to keep wearing them. They are very wearable and not at all delicate. 1.65 x .7 inches.
