Antique Welsh Dragon Signet Ring
Victorian 18k signet, circa 1900, emblazoned with a dragon, the heraldic symbol of Wales since 655 AD. Full British hallmarks for London (no date letter) with the distinctive trefoil cartouche maker’s mark for Goldsmith’s and Silversmiths Co, Ltd. G&SCoLtd was eventually amalgamated into Garrard & Co.
Quite heavy (9.2 grams) for its size.
Size 5 (I’d prefer not to size it much because of the hallmarks)
Wear commensurate with age. A very solid ring and the best signet I have seen of late.
